Player Spotlight: Anabella Puccio — Commanding the Field at the Summer Classic.
One of the biggest reasons we made it out to the Summer Classic girls flag football tournament at St. Thomas University was to watch Anabella Puccio in action — and she did not disappoint.
Currently ranked #6 in our quarterback rankings, Anabella showed exactly why she belongs in that top tier. Her poise, accuracy, and leadership were on full display as she led her team to victory. During the spring season, she helped guide her team to a district championship and a strong showing in regionals, where they narrowly lost to powerhouse Palmetto in a tight 12-7 battle.
What separates Anabella from the pack isn’t just her arm talent — it’s her mindset. Mistakes don’t shake her. If a drive doesn’t go her way, she’s the first one cheering on her defense, resetting, and preparing to go again. That kind of mental toughness can’t be taught — it’s earned. She thrives in stressful situations and has the calm, competitive demeanor every coach wants under center.

Technically, she’s polished and versatile. Backfoot throws? She nails them. Deep balls? Dropped in perfectly. Tight window throws? She’s threading the needle. She’s a true pocket quarterback who can throw receivers open — not just hit them, but lead them.
More importantly, she plays with a fire that’s contagious. You can see it in her eyes — every possession, every snap — she wants to be the best quarterback on the field. That attitude, combined with her skill set, made her one of the most exciting players to watch all weekend.
With her leadership, the Summer Storm team looked locked in from the jump and never lost control of the game. They came into the tournament with something to prove — and they left proving they were the best team at the Summer Classic.
Anabella Puccio has officially made our scout list, and we’re excited to keep following her journey heading into the 2026 season. If you’re not watching her yet, now’s the time to start.
