We’ve had our eyes on James Perrone since his sophomore year at Southridge — and it’s been clear from the jump: this kid is LEGIT.

Now in his junior season, Perrone is showing the kind of polish and poise that would allow him to start at a D1 program right now. His pro-style mechanics, clean footwork, and ability to make split-second decisions are exactly what separates great quarterbacks from elite ones. Whether it’s moving the chains or winning tight games late, James knows how to take control.

This season, Perrone has been nothing short of spectacular. He’s completed 91 of 145 passes for over 1,600 yards, with a completion percentage of .628 and is averaging 231.4 passing yards per game. He’s thrown 17 touchdowns and has only made one interception — an almost unheard-of level of efficiency at this level. His current QB rating sits at a scorching 137.1.

But he’s not just a pocket passer. James has also shown his dual-threat ability, racking up 397 rushing yards and adding 5 rushing touchdowns to his stat sheet. That combination of arm talent, mobility, and football intelligence makes him one of the most complete quarterbacks in the country.

Even more impressive? He’s led his team to an 8-0 record. Undefeated. Dominant. Locked in.

With his commitment to USF, the Bulls are getting a quarterback who’s ready to make an immediate impact. His ability to dissect defenses, extend plays, and lead with confidence is already at a college level — and he’s still finishing out high school.

Circle your calendar: October 18 is shaping up to be the Game of the Week, as Perrone and his squad take on the powerhouse Central Rockets. It’s a massive test, but with James under center, Southridge has all the firepower they need.

James Perrone is special — and the nation is about to find out just how special.
