Prestine Scouting Takes on The Broward Classic

This was our first time attending the Broward Classic, and it did not disappoint.
Special shoutout to Kevin Perry for giving Prestine Scouting full access throughout the entire event—we appreciated every moment of the experience. From start to finish, the atmosphere was electric. With three football fields running simultaneously, there was nonstop action from every angle, showcasing some of the top talent in girls flag football.
And the stars showed up.
One of the biggest names we were eager to see in person was Aubrey Fogel. Widely considered the top quarterback in the state of Florida, we had been hearing about her for months—but at Prestine, we stand on one thing: if we haven’t seen you in person, we don’t speak on you. Now we have, and the hype is real.

Through her first four games of the season, Aubrey has thrown 15 touchdowns for over 800 yards, with an impressive 130.5 QB rating. Her ball placement is elite, her arm strength stands out immediately, and she can drop a dime from anywhere on the field. What makes her even more dangerous is her football IQ—she reads defenses effortlessly and picks them apart. She’s not just exciting to watch—she’s dominant. Aubrey capped off the weekend by leading Seminole Ridge to a championship in her bracket.

Another quarterback who put her team on her back was Brianna Rutecki of Western. Her throwing motion is unique, but incredibly effective, paired with strong upper-body mechanics. She plays fearless and embraces every challenge. Brianna led Western to a 3-0 start and secured a championship in her bracket with precise, deep throws that made life easy for her receivers. She’s proving she’s ready to carry Western this season.

Anabella Puccio of Stoneman Douglas is also off to an explosive start. She opened the season with back-to-back four-touchdown performances, and we still believe she’s the top-rated quarterback in Broward County. Whether she’s rolling out, throwing back-shoulder passes, or firing ropes across the field, Anabella delivers at every level. With her team clicking on all cylinders, expect a deep playoff run.

Mylie Carlson is another name making serious noise early this season. Starting 4-0, her team picked up big wins against St. Thomas Aquinas in their opener and a 14-0 shutout over Northwestern—two programs that are always competitive. Mylie was dropping bombs all weekend, consistently throwing her receivers open and showcasing one of the strongest arms we’ve seen in person. She may be quiet, but her game speaks loudly. With a current 4-1 record and an elite defense behind her, this team is built for a deep playoff push.
Final Thoughts
The Broward Classic is more than just a tournament—it’s a proving ground. The talent level, competition, and intensity on display made one thing clear: girls flag football is rising fast, and the future is loaded with stars.
Prestine Scouting will definitely be back.
